Low Creep High Alumina Refratory Special Shape Brick is characterized by low bulk density. The total weight of the furnace body and walls thickness can be reduced effectively.
It has found a wide application in ceramics tunnel kiln, roller kiln, shuttle kiln, coking furnaces of iron and steel industry and other thermal equipment. It is mainly used in lining and insulating layer of areas without strong erosion by high temperature melts. When in direct contact with flame, the surface contact temperature can not be higher than 1350℃.
If Al2O3 content is higher than 90%, it is called corundum brick. Due to different resources, national standards are not completely consistent. For example, European countries have stipulated that the lower limit of Al2O3 content for high-alumina refractories is 42%. In China, according to the content of Al2O3 in Low Creep High Alumina Refratory Special Shape Brick , it is usually divided into three grades: Grade I──Al2O3 content>75%; Grade II──Al2O3 content is 60～75%; Grade III──Al2O3 content is 48～60%.
